New York Real Estate Journal – Rochester, NY – Monroe Roadways has been awarded the site contract to provide site clearing and demolition, earthwork, foundation excavations, utility construction, concrete curbs and sidewalks, and asphalt paving for new construction of The Eastman Reserve.

Monroe Roadways is working in conjunction with local affordable housing developer PathStone Corp. on the 17-building development located along the western portion of Eastman Ave., a former parking lot at the neighboring Eastman Business Park. Work is currently underway, with completion by spring of 2020. “Monroe looks forward to continuing our relationship with PathStone during this community renewal housing project,” said Monroe Roadways president, Jeff Taylor. “This significant investment will provide indispensable high quality affordable homes for city of Rochester residents.”

The $52.9 million project will include 187 rental units, with 27 to be filled by homeless young adults who will have access to on-site support services. The development is part of New York’s Homes and Community Renewal initiative. Rental units will be available for residents who earn between 60% and 130% of the area median income.
